Dr.Kiran Bedi is the first woman to join the Indian Police Service in 1972.She is taken voluntary retirement from the service in 2007.She is a social activist also.She is taken the doctorate in Social Science from IIT,Delhi.
She is a great inspiration to all of the women in the world.Beacuse she is such an outstanding lady.She served many of the areas very courageously than a man can do.During her sevice she was the Inspector General Prisons of Tihar jail.She is also served in the areas to control Narcotics.She served in the field of VIP security also.
She established two organization for the better conditions to the drug addicted people and for the poor people.The two organizations are Navajyoti and India vision foundation.
She got many of the awards like Magsaysay award which is also known as Asian Nobel prize and also she won the awards like women of the year award in 1980, Lion of the year in 1995 and Mother Teressa memorial National award for social justice in 2005.
She is also a Tennis player.She is selected All Asian Tennis Champion.
She wrote many books also. Her autobiography is “I Dare. It’s Always Possible”,which was released in 1998.There is a documentary based on Kiran Bedi’s life called Yes,Madam Sir.It was selected as best documentary in many of the film festivals.
Now also she is very active.She is hosting many of the TV and Radio shows.She is hosting a TV show called Aap Ki Kachehri Kiran Ke Saath on Star Plus.This show is for rejoining the divorced couples.Many of the couples were rejoined because of this show.Kiran Bedi is actually like a councellor and judge in this show.She is asking their problems and try to rejoin them.She is actually gave them money for a better life also.
She had a website called http://www.saferindia.com .People can register their complaint in this site about any of the crimes if the officials denies their accept.This mail can be used as a legal document in the court.
Kiran Bedi is such a powerful lady and we can learn a lot of from her.
